PETS: Consult a veterinarian about moving your pet. Obtain all records. Ask about local regulations for licenses, vaccinations, tags etc.

Carry jewelry and documents yourself or used registered mail to a neighbor. |

Let a close friend know your route and schedule including overnight stops and use them as your message headquarters. |

Turn off all appliances and lock all doors and windows. |

Leave all old keys needed by new owner with neighbor or realtor. |

Apply for CA driver’s license (within 30 days); register to vote. |

Register car within 5 days after arrival in state or penalty may be assessed when getting new tags. I’ll show you where to go to get tags and licenses. |

Obtain inspection sticker (depends on age of car and system in place). |

Arrange for medical services: doctor, dentist, veterinarian, etc. |
